The new trailer for the reboot of Godzilla, which features a lot of massive destruction, a terrifyingly fresh version of the iconic monster, was revealed on Feb. 25.

Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul Want to Appear on Breaking Bad Prequel?

In the clip, masses are seen running helter skelter, fleeing their settlements, in a ravaged city scape. The monster, albeit only seen in glimpses, is a mammothian revamp of the original. Viewers don't get to see the full form of the beast but the camera pans to parts of the reptilian creature, emerging from the water.

In the clip, Cranston seems to suggest that in 1954 the authorities made the mistake of trying to kill the monster, who rested at sea, under the guise of conducting nuclear tests.

Fans React to 'Unbelievably Epic' Remake of Classic Movie

On Feb. 24 a teaser featured only Bryan Cranston's (Breaking Bad) demanding answers for an apocalyptic future in a desperate, threatening voice. The same voice-over is heard in this new trailer.

Cranston plays Joseph 'Joe' Brody, who is a nuclear physicist. Joseph's son is Lieutenant Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and wife is Elle Brody (Juliette Binoche). Cranston is heard spewing his concern about the monster that threatens to wreak apocalytpic consequences. The actor works an effective mix of agitation, fear, and anger in his vocal delivery.

"You are not fooling anybody when you say that what happened 15 years ago was a natural disaster alright, it was not an earthquake, it wasn't a typhoon okay," he says. "You're lying because what's really happening is that you're hiding something out there, I'm right aren't I?"

His voice chokes with rage as he screams, "I deserve answers."

The monologuing ends with him warning us that the end is nigh.

"You see, there it is again, this is what caused everything in the first place. Don't you see that?!" he asks. "It's going to send us back to the stoneage. You have no idea what's coming."

The 2014 reboot is being directed by Gareth Edwards and also stars Elizabeth Olsen as Ford's wife and David Straitharn as Adm. Stenz.

The film will hit theaters on May 16.
