Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard) was confirmed for the part of Reese in February. The actor beat Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) for the part. In an interview with IGN, while promoting his new film Divergent, the actor spilled about his thoughts on the fifth installment of the Terminator franchise.

"I've always had a bit of skepticism about something being rebooted," he said. "I remember when [A Good Day to] Die Hard came around a few years ago, I was like, 'Really? They're gonna make another one?' and then I found myself in it and totally invested in it. I think it's healthy to have that [skepticism] because you want it to be something [special]. You want to keep that eye for quality sharp."

Filming for Terminator 5 to Begin in New Orleans in April.

John Connor will be played by Jason Clarke, Sarah Connor will be played by Emilia Clarke, and Arnold Schwarzenneger will be reprising his role as the definitive cyborg.

It had previously been reported that five actors were being considered for the part of Kyle featuring Holbrook, Tom Cocquerel, Wilson Bethel, Sam Reid and Courtney. The actors apparently tested for the role on Jan. 20. Initially, Nicholas Hoult and Garret Hedlund were also being eyed for the role but both actors were not interested.

Michael Biehn played the role of Kyle in the original 1984 film.

The director went on to speak of a similar franchise being an inspiration for the fifth Terminator, suggesting that two films in the Batman franchise were "wonderful."

Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
