There are new reports that indicate Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss Everdeen will be suffering from a "mental illness" in the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay film.

According to new rumors, Katniss will have an "unstable mental condition" due to the mental stress she gets mostly because she will have a difficult time trying to rescue Peeta and her district. There is also speculation that Peeta will try and kill Katniss under President Snow's direction as well.

Meanwhile, the film's screenwriter Peter Craig says that Katniss and Peeta's characters will not only surprise viewers in the upcoming movie, but they'll also play key roles in unraveling the film's plot line. Craig also credits the Hunger Games' novelist Suzanne Collins for helping the filmmakers with building out key scenes in the film with only a few descriptions from the book.

"We will stay very Katniss-centric and she still completely drives the movie, but the fun thing is that we get to mash her arc with what's happening in all of Panem," Craig says in a new interview with Yahoo Movies. "And we get to show parallels in other districts. Suzanne was helpful with building out moments or things that are mentioned in maybe just a sentence or two in the book."

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is scheduled to hit theaters November 21.
