Tori Spelling's mother Candy Spelling is opening up about her tumultuous past with her famous daughter, saying that while the two have had difficult times, they are in a much better place right now.

Tori Spelling Feeling Mortified About Revelations Made In Her Mother's New Book?

Candy and Tori's feud began in 2006 when Tori was left shocked over the little amount that she received in her inheritance and Candy's criticism of Tori in an open letter to the media.

"I call it the 'infamous feud between Tori and Mom,'" Candy says of her relationship with her daughter. "A lot of that was blown out of proportion and was 'Oh, poor Tori. It was played that way, I have to say, in an unfair way. No one really looked at the facts.

"Its much better now," Candy adds. "We kind of just had to sweep it aside and go, 'Okay, let's just move forward.' We're enjoying each other, sometimes like girlfriends, for the first time."

Meanwhile, there has been speculation that Candy is hoping that her daughter leaves her husband Dean McDermott, as she feels heartbroken over the drama and stress Tori and her four kids have had to deal with following McDermott's cheating scandal last year with Canadian fan Emily Goodhand.

"It is devastating," Candy said about Tori's reality television show, True Tori. "I have to say that I have not been able to watch much of it... it is hard to watch.

"I talk to her or we text each other day so I just always want to check in and see how she is and how my grandkids are, and that's the most important part of it - is how my kids are feeling," Candy said.
