Lady Gaga has posted a nude picture of herself on her fan website, littlemonsters.com. The naked pop star, who is well known for dressing in controversial outfits, decided this time to dress in nothing at all.

The photo is sure to stoke as much controversy as usual, and is a surprising and random posting by the "Poker Face" singer.

Lady Gaga is shown in the photo lounging on an armchair, wearing nothing. The pictures sparked a wave of comments on social networking sites, with some suggesting she is in fact wearing a teeny tiny skin-colored thong.

The 26 year old pop star wrote along with the photo: "Resting after Barney's Gaga Workshop opening in NY."

The posting also caused a stir among her fans for another reason - Lady Gaga revealed that rumors were true that she would be making her film debut soon, acting in the new film "Machete Kills."

"Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH!" she tweeted. "Filming was insane," Gaga posted.

Lady Gaga recently caused a stir among her millions of Twitter fans when she posted comments about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's recent troubles. Kristen Stewart has confessed to having an affair behind Pattinson's back. Gaga has more than 27 million followers on the social media site, and she chose to issue her best wishes to the troubled couple.

"Geez this [Kristen Stewart] rob stuff is brutal," wrote the singer. "Makes me sad the way the press acts. hope they're ok."

Her sympathy caused many of her fans to both agree and share their opinions about the affair between Stewart and director Sanders. Although the "Twilight" actress apologized for her "momentary indiscretion," it has been reported that Pattinson moved out of their love nest.
