Throughout the last few months, many fans have been buzzing on who they feel would make the perfect Anastasia Steele character in the movie version of the E.L. James racy read "Fifty Shades of Grey."  The latest name being tossed around in the rumor mill is star of the "Twilight Saga" Kristen Stewart.

Ironically, writer James had admitted that the two main characters in "Fifty Shades" are based off of the teen vampire movie in which the 23-year-old plays alongside real life on-again off-again beau Robert Pattinson.

Unfortunately, It was reported by Gather that the book author had stated that casting Stewart in the respective role could be "too strange... just ...Ugh, weird!"

Although, James did mention that she was keeping her casting opinions private.

"[I have] four people in mind.  [But I can't discuss the film], which is a real shame."

The 22-year-old Stewart apparently feels different about the possibility of playing Steele, according to an interview with Hollywood Life.

"First of all, they haven't called me or anything.  They haven't offered me the part. It's spicy.  Yeah.  I don't know, I haven't read the whole thing and it's also a highly coveted part everyone is trying to.  But I'm pretty daring."

The sexually explicit "Fifty Shades of Grey" story is about a 22-year-old college graduate Anastasia Steele, who gets herself into a dominant and submissive sexual relationship with 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey, through an "agreement," as both experiment with the world of bondage and masochism.

Besides Stewart, internet gossip has also brought some other actresses into the mix as some Anastasia Steele possibilities, which include "Pretty Little Liars" Lucy Hale, Harry Potter's Emma Watson and Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel, amongst a slew of other female talents.

Up until this point, E.L. James and the producers attached to the future flick have remained mum on the casting process.  Only time will truly tell who ultimately lands the highly-coveted role of Anastasia Steele as well as Christian Grey in the sexually graphic film.
