Jennifer Lopez spent a romantic week in Paris with boyfriend Casper Smart, and fans are fixating on the diamond ring that appeared on her engagement finger.

The singer and former "American Idol" judge prompted speculation that she is engaged to smart after posing for photos wearing the enormous rock on the same finger where a wedding band would be.

Lopez, 43, and her 25-year-old boyfriend have spent a busy week in Paris together, filling their time by going on shopping sprees, attending fashion shows and turning up at a fundraiser for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

This isn't the first time one of Lopez's expensive accessories has led to speculation about an engagement. When she wore a diamond ring in June, some reports claimed Smart had popped the question. But Lopez took to her website to dismiss that notion by quoting "Jenny From The Block," her famous hit from 2002.

"Rumors!!! Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got," she wrote at the time. "No engagement!"

Lopez has been mostly tight-lipped about her relationship with Smart, but she did open up in an interview with Vogue earlier in 2012.

"He's adorable. He really is [sweet]. He's a good egg. I don't want to talk about it too much. It's my private thing," she told the magazine.

Lopez began dating Smart after divorcing husband Marc Anthony in July 2011. She has two children with Anthony, four-year-old twins Emme and Max.

Lopez has been married three times - to Cuban actor Ojani Noa in 1997, to choreographer Chris Judd in 2001 and to Anthony in 2004.

Many of relationships have become high-profile tabloid fodder. She became one-half of the famous "Bennifer" couple when she dated Ben Affleck, and she was the constant companion on Sean "Diddy" Combs as her star began to rise in the late 1990s.
