The renowned comic book writer has become the MCU's very own Where's Waldo, taking on amusing cameos in everything form the X-Men to Agents of SHIELD. The world's smallest hero, however, may not have the chance to rub shoulders with greatness.

A recent interview with Michael Uslan, Batman producer and Indian University professor, indicates that Lee passed on the Ant-Man cameo.

"I was offered one with Michael Douglas actually, a scene with him," Lee explained. "But they were shooting it in England and I didn't have the time to go. So I'm not in that movie."

This statement has caused some consternation and confusion amongst fans, particularly since Lee previously told Screen Rant that his Ant-Man bit was already in the bag.

Perhaps, while speaking with Uslan, Lee was referring to the original filming schedule for the Peyton Reed film. Ant-Man was originally set to film at Shepperton Studios in England but was later relocated to Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. There is a chance that this change could have aligned with an opening in Lee's date book.
