A day after they were seen locking arms at an American Music Awards afterparty in Los Angeles, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber went on a dinner-date to Benihana, though this time with friends.

They were careful not to be spotted entering or leaving the Encino, Calif., restaurant together on Monday, but photographers caught Gomez, 20, and Bieber, 18, entering the eatery, both dressed casually. Earlier in the day, Gomez visited her doctor for what she thought was a sore throat, and Bieber's bodyguard accompanied her.

Gomez and Bieber's Monday night dinner was very different than the quick bite to eat they grabbed on Friday night. The couple met up at Yamato restaurant but got into an argument almost immediately, an onlooker told People. They left separately within minutes after arriving and Gomez looked "visibly mad."

TMZ then noted that the "Beauty and a Beat" singer followed Gomez back to her home, but she refused to let him through the gate entrance, forcing him to ultimately leave. They also posted pictures of an angry-looking Bieber standing outside of Gomez's gate. However, "Access Hollywood" later clarified that there was just a glitch in the gate, and that Bieber's car was seen parked in Gomez's driveway the next morning.

With reports of a breakup now in question, Bieber and Gomez are spending much time together. Not only did they both attend an AMA afterparty at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, but Gomez was photographed holding on to Bieber's arm at the event, while they both talked to the "Boyfriend" singer's mother Pattie Mallette. Yahoo reported that they came to the party together and later went back to Gomez's L.A. home.

The weekend also included Gomez having a girl's night out on Saturday with good friend Taylor Swift.

An onlooker told People, "The girls shared an Italian meal and seemed to have the best time. There were a lot of giggles and laughter."

"They looked like great friends and were also in deep conversation throughout the meal. Taylor was very protective of Selena and escorted her to and from the car," the source added.
