Rumors regarding Marvel's upcoming "Iron Man 3" continue to circulate throughout the web. The latest movie scoop comes in the form of some character figurines, as it's being speculated that the toys will mimic the characters used in the blockbuster film.

Comic Book states that the franchise "has a couple of Iron Man 3 spoilers by way of a toy description, which is often how these things break. The description for Iron Man 3 Minimates has been released, including details on some of the characters."

The comic site goes on to say that the toy assortment will have Iron Man Mark 47 with the Mandarin, Iron Patriot with Extremis Soldier along with two exclusively featured sets, which are War Machine and Maya Hansen and Aldrich Killian along with Cowboy Tony Stark.

Although Iron Man making the transition to wearing the Mark 47 gear in "Iron Man 3" has already been speculated, the descriptions written regarding the action figures are its first official confirmation.

"Iron Man 3" recently finished shooting in Wilmington, N.C. However, a couple more scenes are rumored to be filmed in China that reportedly won't involve any of the main cast.

Although the movie's trailer may have insinuated a darker and less comic tone than the franchise's previous films, "Iron Man" producer Kevin Feige told Movie Moron, "It's not a serious movie, but we seriously dig into exploring more of Tony... What you'll see in Iron Man 3 are some very unique directions being taken."

Director Shane Black also gave his take on the Marvel movie.

"We had kind of a conundrum in that The Avengers opens up this huge skyhole full of inter-dimensional aliens, and you kind of look back and [think], 'Well, what do you do after that?' " he said. "Except go back to a sort of more gritty, intense kind of techno-thriller root."

"Iron Man 3" is set to debut in the United Kingdom in April and then in the United States in May next year.
