"Blake Shelton as has enough," the lawsuit says. "Mr. Shelton is not in rehab and has no plans to go to rehab. To be clear: Mr. Shelton has not hit rock bottom."

Shelton did reportedly first seek a retraction for the story but received no response , which led to the lawsuit.

Shelton previously addressed the stories on his Twitter page, joking with his fans that he had been updating them from the rehab he was so clearly in at the time.
