'Batman v Superman' Director Zack Snyder Explains How Batman Has An Advantage Over Superman

Affleck, who is making his debut at Batman/Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, spoke with Entertainment Weekly in a report posted Tuesday about how Batman represents humanity.

"[Batman] represents human beings, mortal men. In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It's interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books - I'm not sure how that'll play out here - but his humanity is also an asset," Affleck explained.

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) will be more of an active resource than he's been in films past.

"Alfred is a lot more hands-on in our film than he has previously been," Irons told the publication. "He's a bit of a grease monkey, and he's very involved in the decisions Bruce makes."

The report also features concept art for the Batcave that will be featured in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
