Warner Bros. is apparently concerned about the potential success of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Batman v Superman is the big push for Warner Bros. this spring and the real test of whether audiences will respond to the upcoming D.C. Cinematic Universe. With the inclusion of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and appearances by other Justice League superheroes like Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), there is a lot riding on this film to do well.

A new HitFix report gets to the heart of Warner Bros. major concerns, at least according to writer Drew McWeeny's sources.

How Conflict In 'Batman v Superman' Is 'Very Personal'

"My guess is what's going to happen is based on what I'm hearing...is JUSTICE LEAGUE is going to get moved back and that Ben Affleck Batman movie, that's what's going to end up in that spot," he says. "My guess is they're going to throw whatever money it takes at Ben Affleck to make that Batman film happen sooner rather than later. They're going to need to rebuild again, they're going to need to win people over, they're going to need to lay some different groundwork. I don't think this is going to be the springboard into the Justice League that they wanted it to be."

There's also a new Batman-On-Film report that backs up this report somewhat, though they note that perhaps they are more "nervous" than "worried." This apparently isn't due to the quality of the film itself, rather, the potential financial success and audience response. After all, Marvel has found great fortune in fun, colorful superhero films, from The Avengers to Guardians of the Galaxy to Deadpool, while Batman v Superman is decidedly more dark and gritty.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25.
