It has to be tough to be one of the people born on February 29 in any of the years where such a date existed.

While you still get older every year just like everyone else, you don't get to see your birthday come around again, giving you the ability to at least celebrate that new age (a benefit those born on the usual 365 other days of the year get). No, in fact, you only get to celebrate your birthday on your actual day of birth once every four years. And that's just plain unfair.

However, with February 29 here once more (we last saw this day peeking out from the shadows in 2012), those who were born today finally get the chance to celebrate again! But since their birth date fell on a Monday (and they likely have school or work today and tomorrow), they may not be able to celebrate as much as they'd like. So to make up for the unfortunate bad luck of only getting a birthday every four years--and the injustice of that date falling on a Monday--several restaurants are honoring these Leap Year babies today with free meals.
