Kyle Richards opened up about her friendship with Lisa Vanderpump in her latest blog.
Following the season six finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Richards explained the ins and outs of her tricky friendship with her longtime co-star.
"I care about Lisa and value our friendship," Richards explained in her Bravo TV blog on Tuesday. "I felt bad for her sitting there at the table in Dubai. I know she can't handle confrontation, and I felt protective of her even though I was at the heart of this entire issue Eileen and Rinna were discussing re: LVP. I was over it and feel that Lisa cares about me and it wasn't that big of a deal. I honestly felt that this was more about their own issues with LVP, and they were just using this as an example."
"Up until this topic came up, LVP and I had been laughing nonstop and having a great time," she recalled. "Having our lives documented can be tricky. You have to fight to keep your friendships in this environment, and we are challenged constantly--even more than your average friends would be whose lives are NOT being documented. We all have issues with friends and talk to our other friends about it. But without cameras, those moments are for venting and then forgotten about--not having to be replayed for millions to see. The fact that Lisa and I have navigated through that for six years and came out on the other side is something that I am proud of and our friendship means a lot to me."
While Richards and Vanderpump remain close, Richards did point out that Vanderpump's blog from last week was a bit "mean spirited." She also said she doesn't always agree, or disagree, with Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson.
"I see that Rinna and Eileen both have their points but didn't agree with how they went about it," she told readers. "I also don't agree with LVP's blog last week. Clearly she is striking back, but it was mean spirited and is only making things worse between them."
