Breaking up with someone is hard enough, but when there are children involved, it not only makes things more difficult, but can also end up potentially messy as well.

It's a fact that Gwen Stefani is dealing with right now, as there's a new report that says her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale is insisting that he be kept in the loop on the whereabouts of their three children along with what kind of relationship they have with her new boyfriend, country music star Blake Shelton.

According to Us Weekly this week, the ex-couple, who announced their separation late last year, recently had an "emotional" talk about their three kids, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. Some are even speculating that Rossdale might be jealous of how Shelton is spending so much time with his kids lately.

"Gwen had a meeting with Gavin to discuss her relationship with Blake and how it will affect the children going forward," an insider dished. "(Gavin) wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives."

The source added, "Blake has nothing to do with Gavin. He can't forgive someone who treated his lady that way."

There was earlier speculation that Rossdale might have cheated on Stefani with the family's nanny. Shelton, meanwhile, also pulled the plug on his marriage to his soon-to-be ex-wife Miranda Lambert last summer as well.
