Lauren Conrad is opening up about her marriage to William Tell in a new interview.

Nearly two years after the Hills star tied the knot, Conrad is speaking out about how her party planning process has changed now that she is a wife.

"Now that I’m throwing parties with my husband, William, I have to keep in mind that he prefers — how do I say this— easier themes than what I’ve done in the past," Conrad explained during a new interview with Redbook magazine, via Us Weekly on Wednesday. "He doesn’t like to feel that he’s asking friends to go out of their way. So now we do a birthday hoedown because everyone owns a pair of cutoffs and a plaid shirt. I’m learning how to compromise!"

Conrad also had to get used to her husband's guitar collection, which didn't exactly compliment her much more feminine teacup collection.

"I have a collection of teacups I display in my dining room. My husband doesn’t get why I love them so much. To be fair, I don’t share his passion for guitars," she told the magazine. "I mean, I guess I can understand why he might not see the beauty in a gorgeous, hand-painted teacup. We each have our own things, and that’s healthy."

Conrad began dating Tell in Feb. 2012 and in Oct. 2013, they became engaged. Then, in Sept. 2014, in front of their close friends and family members, Conrad and Tell said their "I dos."

"It’s been wonderful so far," Conrad told Us Weekly of her first year of marriage in May 2015. "I think it’s really different for everybody. For us it makes you officially family, which is really great, but as far as our relationship, we were really committed before, so it didn't change a ton."
