It appears that rumors about Microsoft holding an event sometime in October are true, with the tech giant announcing a Windows 10 event on the 26th. While details about the announced event are scarce, numerous speculations point to the possibility of a new Surface device being unveiled at the event.

The Surface device in question will most likely not be the Surface Pro 5 or the Surface Book 2, as these devices, which are speculated to pack Intel's upcoming Kaby Lake processors, are not due until next year. Thus, some are speculating that the rumored Surface Phone might at least make a brief appearance in the Oct. 26 event.

The device that would most likely be unveiled in the upcoming Windows 10 event is the rumored iMac killer, the Surface All-in-One. While the Surface AiO has not made as many waves in the rumor mill as the Surface Pro 5 and the Surface Phone, a couple of notable leaks about the AiO have actually emerged in recent weeks.

Among these leaks are a keyboard and a mouse that are emblazoned with the Surface brand. While the authenticity of the image has not been confirmed by Microsoft, the fact that they were never denied added some credibility to the leaked images.

There is a possibility that the Surface AiO would be the central device that would be unveiled at the Oct. 26 event. Despite this, however, many are still speculating that the Surface Phone would at least be mentioned in the event.

After all, if there is one product that has captured the attention and interest of consumers, it would be the rumored Surface Phone. Said to pack as much as 8GB of RAM and a Quad-HD display, avid Microsoft fans believe that the upcoming device would be the one true flagship that would propel Windows 10 mobile into mainstream consumers.

If the Surface Phone does get announced in the event, Microsoft would surely make a lot of its most dedicated fans very content.
