Despite reports, Cara Delevingne is not dating Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson.

Reports circulated over the weekend that the two single women, who hung out together in New York in recent weeks, were dating after things went from platonic to romantic.

The initial report, from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, claimed the two had met through Taylor Swift and things went romantic quickly when Delevingne "needed a shoulder to cry on" following her split from ex-girlfriend St. Vincent, and Johnson "happened to be there to give her the support she needed." In addition, the website claimed that it was only a matter of time before the two would be caught together, and when it happened, Swift would insert herself in the relationship by taking credit for their love, and Johnson would use the relationship to help give her "maximum public exposure" before she begins doing press for Fifty Shades Darker.

However, Gossip Cop has debunked the report, checking in with sources close to Johnson who maintained the rumor was false and the women are just friends.

Johnson is not the only person who has been linked to Delevingne since her split from St. Vincent was announced over the summer. In fact, Delevingne has also been linked to her Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie, as well as her friend and Johnny Depp's recent ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Rumors have buzzed around Heard and Delevingne specifically due to rumors that the two partying together the way they did led to tension in Heard's marriage to Depp, because he felt that the way Heard acted was embarrassing to him and making him look like a fool.

However, Delevingne has not been officially linked to anyone since her split from the singer, while St. Vincent has seemed to move on with actress Kristen Stewart, as the two have been spotted together mutliple times, and holding hands in public.

Prior to St. Vincent, Delevingne was linked to actress Michelle Rodriguez, and rumors to have dated singer Harry Styles as well.
