Ryan Edwards became engaged to Mackenzie Standifer earlier this month and during a new interview, Standifer opened up about his romantic proposal.

After getting Maci Bookout's approval during Teen Mom OG season six, and then catching the bouquet at her wedding weeks later, Standifer spoke out about her engagement and future plans to marry the reality dad.

"I just thought we were going on a date, but he rented out a riverboat and nobody was there," Standifer revealed to MTV News on Thursday. "It was just us on a riverboat, on the water, and it was beautiful. We finished dinner, and we were looking at each other. He asked me to stand up, and that's when asked."

According to the report, Edwards and Standifer began dating one another in May and had discussed the possibility of getting married numerous times. Still, when Edwards officially popped the question, Standifer was surprised.

Now, just weeks into their engagement, she and Edwards have already nailed down a timeframe and a venue for their upcoming nuptials.

"We already booked the church -- we're getting married in November 2017," she continued. "It was where Jen and Larry got married." Following in his parents' footsteps -- and these holidays will certainly be very special for the clan.
