After her high-profile divorce with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie is now back on the big screen. Following her directorial stint on Netflix's original film, "First They Killed My Father," the 41-year-old star has a lineup of to-do projects including "Maleficent 2."

Angelina Jolie has a long list of films she needs to do in the future, Entertainment Tonight confirmed. In fact, the former wife of Brad Pitt now has a number of new projects that include playing the main role of "Maleficent 2" and a producer of another Disney movie, "The One and Only Ivan."

Disney has been eyeing to produce "Maleficent 2" and wants Angelina Jolie to reprise her role. Hence, the sequel to the dark fantasy film might be the mother of six's next project.

Disney has been known for adapting classic animated tales into live-action movies and it is all a tremendous success. In fact, the 2014 "Maleficent" is one of the first film adaptations and raked in a staggering $758 million worldwide. Hence, the entertainment company gave permission for "Maleficent 2" to move forward, but experiencing slow development.

According to Hollywood Reporter, now that "Maleficent 2" may be Angelina Jolie's next project, the production of the sequel might quickly advance. Disney is also preparing for the release of "Beauty and the Beast" followed by "Mulan" in November 2018.

Aside from "Maleficent 2," Disney, too, is getting ready for the coming of the live-action adaptations of "Little Mermaid," "The Jungle Book 2," "The Lion King" and "Dumbo." However, the film studio has yet to announce the release of the movie sequel that will be led by Angelina Jolie.

But, the publication noted that there's a big chance "Maleficent 2" will hit the big screen in 2019. In fact, Disney has a reserved Dec. 20, 2019, release date on its schedule for an untitled movie project. Also, the movie company has no director for the movie sequel so far, thus Angelina Jolie might also do the work.
