Is Miranda Lambert engaged to Anderson East?

After about a year and a half of dating, a source claims the country singer and former wife of Blake Shelton has proposed to her boyfriend.

“They actually got engaged over the phone in late June," a source told In Touch Weekly magazine on Wednesday. “Miranda was playing a festival in Chicago and Anderson was at a gig in St. Louis. They were up talking long into the night and suddenly Miranda blurted out, ‘Will you marry me?’”

Lambert and East began dating one another at the end of 2015, months after she confirmed she and Shelton were ending their marriage after four years, and in January 2016, they went public with their romance with a cuddly photo on her Instagram page.

Although East was understandably caught off guard at Lambert’s reported proposal, he ultimately realized that she wasn’t joking and quickly said, “Yes.”

While Lambert and East haven’t yet confirmed news of their rumored engagement, the In Touch Weekly magazine source said the couple wasn’t wasting any time planning for their potentially upcoming event. In fact, they have reportedly decided to elope this fall and travel to a tropical location for their honeymoon.

One year later, the outlet continued, Lambert and East will reportedly celebrate their nuptials with a group party for their friends and family.

In addition to Lambert’s happy relationship with East, her former husband, Shelton, appears to be over the moon with girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who he began dating in late 2015. As fans may recall, Stefani announced her divorce from Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage just weeks after Shelton’s split from Lambert was confirmed.
