Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 a year after the disastrous debut of the recalled Galaxy Note 7. However, reports were rife that this device was also released on the heels of the company's last flagship which is the Galaxy S8 Plus, a much-lauded device of the company.

Though the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus have a lot of things in common, still, these two devices from Samsung have differences. Moreover, a report from Wired claimed that the Note 8 offers more great features than the Galaxy S8 Plus.

First among these differences is the report that the Galaxy Note is a bigger smartphone compared to that of S8 Plus. The Note 8 also comes with Samsung's S Pen stylus and that it is the first in the company's smartphone sporting a dual camera. But these two devices are being operated by same Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor.

Like the S8 Plus, the Galaxy Note 8 also supports Samsung's computer-replacing Dex Station and the AI-powered Bixby voice assistant. Nevertheless, even if some sources and reviews were saying that the Galaxy Note 8 is a great smartphone, some also claimed that the S8 Plus is impressive in its own right.

Since these two devices are being operated by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, it was claimed that this Qualcomm has a 27 percent performance advantage over the Snapdragon 821, its predecessor. Further, the Galaxy Note 8 has an extra memory because it comes with 6GB of memory and the Galaxy S8 Plus has 4GB only.

When it comes also to its storage capacity, according to Digital Trends, the new Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus both have 64 GB of internal memory. These two devices from Samsung also have MicroSD Card slot which allows the user to conveniently add more storage.

The extra memory which the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 provides is beneficial when it comes to multitasking but still, this is hardly noticeable from the Galaxy S8 Plus. Since the Note 8 offers more RAM, the majority of the reviews are suggesting that it is a better Samsung smartphone than the S8 Plus.
