Pink has been addressing a lot of issues lately. In a recent interview, on Friday, she spoke about how unapologetic she is about herself in her 17-year long career and revealed that it was her frustration that made her write the song "What About Us"

After the release of her album "Beautiful Trauma" Pink in an interview with Vulture magazine revealed the reason behind her lines for " What about us" was a sign of anger and frustration."

The 38-year old singer who has come a long way since her first record label with original R&B girl group Choice in 1995 spoke about her childhood, pop-music and her controversial tweets over US President Donald Trump.

"I feel like I knew what the game was when I first came out and I fought against that game. I kind of made my own game up over on the side," she said

She continues, "It all goes back to the way I was raised, I think. Your childhood shapes you. Growing up listening to protest music, rock and roll - and pop music, I love pop music. You just write what you feel"

The star spoke about politics and music intermingling in her own terms be it her tweets on Trump or the kind of music she listens to, she just wanted to be herself but didn't know anything anymore that anger made her write the song for Beautiful Trauma.

"I don't know what the game is anymore and I don't know what people are doing. I'm just doing what I do. When I got to the studio the day I wrote "What About Us," it was just another day I was angry about what's happening in the world," she revealed.

The singer had a lot to say on Trump as she took to Twitter on Oct.10. "There is still hope for President Trump", she expressed optimistically.

Later she even tweeted in disgust as she admitted she didn't vote for him. "I did not vote for Trump. That tweet was not an endorsement. I'm as disgusted as you. To even imagine a person like me would endorse him," she replied in response to a fan's inquiry.
