Lots of people have an opinion about Nicki Minaj’s controversial cover of the latest issue of PAPER magazine. Talk show host Wendy Williams shared hers on her series recently.

In her true Williams form, Wendy didn’t hold back in sharing what she really thought about the rapper’s photo shoot that featured a handful of sexual innuendos.

She showed her live studio audience the cover and questioned whether the three different forms of Minaj performing sexual acts on herself meant the rapper just loved herself that much.

“I do not like the cover. I think she is trying too hard,” Williams added.

Williams said considering the world where Cardi B could threaten to take Minaj’s crown as the queen of rap, she understands why Minaj would feel the need to expose herself in that manner. Still, Williams added a photo shoot like this one isn’t the way to go to get the attention Minaj is allegedly searching for these days.

“You are trying to retain your position in rap music and stuff. I get it. Remy Ma is on your tail, and Lil Kim is about to do something awful,” Williams said of Minaj’s arch enemies.”Nicki’s about to come out with an album ‘Sink or Swim,’ and this is her way of swimming…It is desperate and distasteful.”

Williams went on to compare Minaj’s cover with Kim Kardashian’s infamous photo shoot for the same publication. She said Minaj crossed the line and caused Kardashian’s once controversial snapshots to look like child’s play compared to Minaj’s. Check out Williams' remarks at the 2:43 mark of the video here.

Here's What Rapper Eve Had To Say

Interestingly enough, Williams isn’t the only star to speak out about Minaj’s cover shoot. Rapper Eve, who just landed a co-host slot on the daytime show, The Talk, also shared her thoughts about Minaj’s photos on the show recently.

She started by saying that Minaj is a wonderful woman and reminded viewers the two worked together on the third installment of the Barbershop franchise. She also credited Minaj as a great rapper. Still, Eve said when it comes to the photo shoot and the number of young women who look up to Minaj, it was inappropriate.

Eve further commented that she couldn’t imagine herself doing something like that in the space she’s in right now either. While Eve has received lots of backlash for her statement, she defended it on Twitter shortly after.
