Willow Smith is getting candid about what it's like being a child of famous parents.

Willow is the youngest and only daughter of actors, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Smith has two older brothers, Jaden and Trey. Trey is from her father's first marriage. Smith made her debut in acting when she was featured in the film, I Am Legend, with her father. She then starred in the films Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

The 17-year-old singer is known for her daring looks and free-spirited attitude, so it's no surprise that she didn't hold back when she was asked what it was like growing up in the spotlight.

"Growing up and trying to figure out your life...while people feel like they have some sort of entitlement to know what's going on, is absolutely, excruciatingly terrible - and the only way to get over it, is to go into it. When you're born into it, there are two choices that you have; I'm either going to try to go into it completely and help from the inside, or...I'm really going to take myself completely out of the eye of society. There's really no in-between," Smith says.

Smith released two songs back in 2010, Whip My Hair and 21st Century Girl. Whip My Hair went platinum and peaked at the number 11 spot on the Billboard charts. The singer also collaborated with rapper Nicki Minaj in 2011 and released the song Fireball.

In 2014, Smith released the EP titled "3", via iTunes. In 2015, the singer released the song "F Q-C #7", with a video that also premiered on Vevo the same day. Smith has been staying under the radar these days. The actress hasn't spoken on any new projects that she is working on.

Her brother, Jaden, is also an artist and actor. Just like his sister, 19-year-old made his acting debut alongside in the film, The Pursuit of Happyness. On Nov. 17, 2017, Jaden released his debut album, SYRE.

Even though Willow has her qualms about being in the public eye, she did speak highly of her parents back in 2016.

"It's not just about money. It's not just about giving people gifts or whatever. What my parents have given to me is not anything that has to do with money or success or anything that society says people should be focusing on- it's something spiritual that only certain people can grasp and accept."
