Tennessee native Keaton Jones and his embattled mother, Kimberly, appeared on the United Kingdom's ITV This Morning in a joint interview.

Keaton Jones Skips School

One of the main topics of the Joneses' appearance on the British morning news show focused on if (and when) Keaton will return to his middle school to confront his bullies. The 11-year-old and his family stated that they are still hesitant about the prospect of returning to school.

"I actually haven't been to school," confessed the younger Jones.

Mrs. Jones added that despite being the world's most famous kid, Keaton felt uncomfortable with the idea of returning to school despite the end of the semester.

"I've struggled anyway especially being this close to Christmas break, but after seeing how big it got," Kimberly said. "I mean it just seems like maybe we should let it die down a little bit before we made any decisions so that we could kind of have a reality of what life is going to be like."

#KeatonStrong: Celebrities Show Support

The Knoxville, Tennessee native caught worldwide attention after he released a heartbreaking video about his experiences being bullied at his school. Since then, Keaton has received a plethora of support as the hashtag KeatonStrong rapidly gained steam on numerous social media networks.

Celebrities also sent encouraging words of support. Several high-profile names such as Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo invited Keaton to attend the world premiere of the eagerly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. Other stars like Stranger Things star Millie Bobbie Brown, recording artist Demi Lovato, and Star Wars icon Mark Hamill wrote personalized tweets to encourage the 11-year-old.

Also, Orange is the New Black actor Nick Stevenson relinquished his invitation to the Joneses to attend one of his plays. Patton Oswalt added that Keaton was not a fault and shined the harsh spotlight on his mother and challenged her to be a better example to role model to her son.

Kimberly Jones Faces Backlash

While Keaton continued to receive international love, his mother faced backlash when it was discovered that she posted provocative images of the Confederate flag on her Facebook page. The family also met controversy many people thought that Mrs. Jones was using her son's unhappy situation for financial gain.

"I've said over and over, I'm an adult, I know who I am," said Mrs. Jones. "I'm obviously sorry that it has offended so many people, but the backlash to my children... That's something I wouldn't wish on anybody."

The Joneses have not announced if they have financially benefited from this incident.
