The "Born This Way" singer-songwriter will star along with Bradley Cooper in the latest adaptation of the classic musical film, A Star Is Born.

Jackson And Ally To Return 

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will team up in the remake of the classic Hollywood film A Star is Born. Cooper, who also wrote, produced, and directed the third incarnation of the musical drama, is expected to portray singer-songwriter Jackson Maine, who is nearing the peak of his career.

Maine's life is changed forever when he first crosses paths with Ally (Lady Gaga). Maine mentors and later falls in love with Ally as he helps her launch a career in the recording industry.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter As Ally

Before Mother Monster was cast as Ally and Cooper decided to write and direct the film, there was a significant recording artist that was attached to the A Star Is Born remake. The performer who would have joined Cooper on this project was Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

When entertainment icon Clint Eastwood expressed interest in remaking A Star Is Born, he had the Dreamgirls and Cadillac Records actress in mind for Ally. Knowles-Carter even started taking acting lessons because she had not starred in a film since 2013's Epic. However, when Eastwood initially left the project, Knowles-Carter followed him out of the production.

Lady Gaga's Dominance Continues

A Star is Born will be released in October, two months before Lady Gaga launches her most ambitious project in her career. The "Do What U Want" singer has just announced that starting in December 2018, she will begin a 2-year residency at the Park Theater. The 2-year residency fulfills a lifelong dream for the entertainer.

Gaga also had a successful 2017 as she entertained millions of viewers around the world during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in January. The "Just Dance" singer also replaced Knowles-Carter for the legendary Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.

Gaga also wrapped up her massively successful Joanne World Tour, which featured stops in cities across North America and is expected to take the show overseas in Europe.

Streisand Blesses The Remake

Gaga and Cooper will take over the roles made famous by Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. The Streisand and Kristofferson version of the film earned four Academy Awards nominations, but only took home an Oscar for Best Original Song for "Evergreen," the theme from A Star is Born.

Streisand gave both Cooper and Gaga her seal of approval and wished them well filming the remake.

The remake is expected to be released in theatres on Oct. 5, 2018.
