Could Lady Gaga and her ex-boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, have reconciled their relationship?

According to a new report, the singer and actor are back in touch after their 2016 split but while the former couple is talking again, Lady Gaga is still believed to be dating her agent, Christian Carino.

"Gaga and Taylor Kinney are still very close, but they are only friends,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly magazine on August 30. "Gaga and Taylor talk or text every single day and meet up when they’re in the same city, but nothing romantic is happening between them.”

Rumors regarding Lady Gaga and her former boyfriend's potential reunion began swirling after Kinney was seen attending a show during Lady Gaga's Joanne world tour at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. However, despite Kinney's support of his former partner, their engagement is far from back on.

As fans of the former couple will recall, Lady Gaga and Kinney called off their engagement last summer after dating for five years. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that “distance was definitely a big, big issue” and they were “ultimately too different” to make their relationship last.

Months later, Lady Gaga opened up about her thoughts on their split.

"It’s just about life changes, and we all go through different stages and we’re focused on different things,” she said during an apperance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show. “To be fair, I think that Taylor’s pretty f--king cool that over the years no matter what creative transformation that I’ve gone through, he’s always been very supportive of that and loving."
