It’s been years since DJ Envy, real name Raashaun Casey, of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club morning show exposed his cheating scandal. Now, his wife has spoken out about it.

Gia Casey Was Shocked

Envy and his wife, Gia Casey, made an appearance on The Real earlier this week. She didn’t hold back when it came to her struggle with his infidelity, that was very public at one point.

“We went through a rough stage where Raashaun cheated on me,” said Casey to the co-hosts after being asked about the toughest moments of their marriage.

She said that while others were not surprised considering they had been together for decades, she was shocked that he went outside of their marriage because of how great he treated her. Envy was rumored to have cheated with reality star Erica Mena.

“Our sex life was good, he was always giving me compliments, very generous,” added Casey. “Everything was fantastic. He was a wonderful father. He never failed at that. I really didn’t see any red signs.”

Gia continued and said when she did hear about Envy’s infidelity, she immediately sought out a divorce attorney because cheating was something that was a deal breaker for her. She said she spoke to their children about it, as things got worse at home and spilled over to Envy’s job as a radio co-host.

“I was losing everything,” said Envy. “I’m losing this person that really held me down. Was there for me from the start, didn’t care about money, didn’t care about anything…”

He said that he was nearly living two different lives — one as Raashaun, the other as DJ Envy. His wife said she didn’t know who DJ Envy was.

Tyrese Saves The Day?

As to who helped save their marriage, Envy credits Casey's friend Rossi and singer and actor Tyrese. Envy said Tyrese stepped in after Envy revealed their marital woes on the air. Before then, no one was aware of what they were going through.

While Tyrese and Envy didn’t know each other at all, Tyrese said God “gave [him] a sign” that he was supposed to reach out to Envy.

He instructed Envy to book a private room and a restaurant and said he would sing and talk to the couple. He stayed true to his word and sang his hit song "Stay." He ended up staying for four hours and speaking with the couple.

Envy said Tyrese was available to him at any given time of the night and walked him through helping Gia speak to Envy again and ultimately allowing Envy back in their home. Now, they are going strong.
