Kim Kardashian is telling it all on her family's reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. On Sunday's episode, Kardashian opened up about her professional breakup with her former assistant Stephanie Shepherd.
While on the phone with her best friend Allison Statter, Kardashian told Statter that the conversation was really hard to have and that she believes Shepherd outgrew her position as her assistant.
Kim further stated that Shepherd was very accepting of the departure and was so grateful to have worked with her.
"She was like, 'I totally get it and I totally respect you and you've taught me everything. I'm so grateful and I've been with you for five years," Kim stated.
Kim And Stephanie Go Their Separate Ways
Shepherd began working with Kim in 2013 and even became the Chief Operating Officer of Kardashian West Brands such as her collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics and her Kimoji products.
Sources have stated that Shepherd's decision to leave the companies is what caused a strain on their relationship.
In November 2017, People confirmed that Kim and Shepherd were no longer working with each other. After rumored to have been a dramatic and sudden split for several reasons, fans were happy to know that things ended amicably between the two.
While in a confessional, Kim explained that Shepherd wanted a different role and they were both going in a different direction.
"She wanted a different role and I was going in a different direction, so for both of us, I just felt like it wasn't the right fit anymore...She's really been there for me," Kim remarked.
Who Does Stephanie Work For Now?
As for now, Shepherd has not revealed who she has decided to join forces with, but she seems to be doing just fine.
Kim's former assistant currently boasts 1 million followers on Instagram, where she posts pictures of herself vacationing around the world and hanging out with the likes of fashion designer Alexander Wang and Emily Ratajkowski.
