On Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian opened up about her decision to use a surrogate to carry her third child, Chicago West..

On the latest installment of the E! reality series, audiences got the chance to see Kardashian as she prepares to welcome her newest bundle of joy.

While having a discussion with Khloe Kardashian, Kim reveals that she would have preferred to carry her daughter on her own.

"Even though I will appreciate not having to gain the weight and then lose the weight...  I so would have rather have done it on my own" the 37-year-old says.

The KKW Beauty founder also expressed anxiety explaining to her sister, Khloe Kardashian, that she hopes she cares as much as for Chicago despite that she didn't actually give birth to her.

Kim Opts For A Surrogate

Kim has always been open about her pregnancy struggles. On a previous episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the makeup mogul explained that doctors told her she could no longer get pregnant because she could be at risk of various complications such as placenta accreta preeclampsia, which led her to consider using a surrogate.

However, the reality star took to her app to state that having a surrogate wasn't easier.

"People assume it's better because you don't have to deal with physical changes, pain or complications with delivery, but for me it was so hard to not carry my own child, especially after I carried North [West] and Saint [West]," Kim admitted.

Kim And Kanye Welcome Chicago West

Although Kim laments about her reservations on the latest episode of KUWTK, she has been boasting about Chicago ever since announcing her birth.

As previously reported, Kim and Kanye West welcomed Chicago on Jan. 15th at 12:47 a.m. via surrogate. Kim took to her app to confirm the news.

"We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care," Kim wrote.

Kim also remarked that Chicago arrived weighing 7 pounds and 6 ounces.

Although Kim has not shared any photos of Chicago as of yet, the world was able to get a glimpse of the newest West member in Kylie Jenner's pregnancy video titled, "To Our Daughter," at the 8:25 mark.
