The royal wedding is drawing near and many are wondering about the woman who is planning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day. Jessica Mulroney is not only a famous planner but a close friend of the bride.

Jessica Is A Big Deal

Mulroney has been with Markle during her biggest moments as she goes from being a famous Hollywood actress to a royalty. Mulroney helped Markle pick out the Parosh dress and Line the Label coat Markle was spotted wearing when she and Harry confirmed reports they were engaged last November.

Markle isn’t the only high-ranking celebrity Mulroney is associated with. She also works with the First Lady of Canada, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, as well as other influential people in Canada. Mulroney, who is said to be thought of as a Canadian royalty herself, is married to Ben Mulroney. His father once served as the prime minister of Canada. She and her husband have three children together.

The Toronto stylist also supported Markle when she encouraged her to don the Ralph and Russo dress and a cashmere sweater from Victoria Beckham’s line when she and Prince Harry took their official engagement pictures.

She's Wearing Many Hats For The Royal Wedding

Jessica’s duties don’t end with advising Markle on what to wear in her biggest moments leading up to the wedding. She is also the wedding planner for the wedding set for May 19. Jessica is reportedly assisting with the wedding theme and reception details. Jessica will also sit down with the company designing the cake and the florist for the wedding.

Jessica was also on hand when Markle had her first fitting for the wedding dress, when Markle was baptized and the special dinner that the royal family hosted after. Mulroney was among other royals at the event including Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles, his stepmother, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

A Mulroney Affair For The Royal Wedding

Jessica’s isn’t the only Mulroney who’s a part of the royal wedding. Their daughter, Ivy, along with Prince Harry’s niece, Princess Charlotte, will serve as bridesmaids for the major event. Word is Jessica could also be in the wedding as Markle’s matron of honor.

“Jessica will be back in London before the wedding and she’ll actually be spending a few days with Meghan at Kensington Palace, where I’m told it will be very much a girlie slumber party,” said ABC News royal contributor Scobie.

Jessica and Markle have reportedly been close for years after Jessica designed many of Markle’s outfits on Suits. Jessica also works with Kleinfeld Bridal as a consultant and is a contributing editor for Wedding Vacations. Jessica is philanthropic with her charity, the Shoebox, to help homeless women. Interestingly enough, she made her Instagram profile private earlier this year.
