Zayn Malik is opening up about his relationship with his on and off girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, in an all-new GQ profile.

They're Not Sweating The Pressure

Although the singer and supermodel broke up just a couple months ago, after almost two years of dating, they were spotted making out on the streets of NYC in May, sparking rumors of a reconciliation.

They further fueled the rumor mill when Hadid shared a pic of the two cuddling up on her Instagram Story. As far as Malik is concerned, it's nobody else's business but theirs.

"We're adults. We don't need to put a label on it, make it something for people's expectations," the 25-year-old emphatically told.

Just because he won't label her his lady doesn't mean One Direction star Malik has nothing good to say about Hadid. He gushed to the magazine about how the 23-year-old model helped him to look at things positively, particularly in the difficult period following the release of his debut solo album, Mind of Mine.

While he's working away on his new record, Hadid has been there to support him, particularly when it comes to organizational skills, which he admits he's lacking. Although the supermodel doesn't handle the business side of things just yet, she's good with dates, helping him stay on track.

The two also share a horse, named Cool, which they keep in a farm Malik recently purchased in rural Pennsylvania. Hadid, naturally, is welcome to visit any time she likes, particularly as her mother, Real Housewives alum Yolanda Hadid, also has a property nearby.

It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over

The hot young couple confirmed they called time on their relationship back in March, via separate statements posted to Twitter, shocking fans worldwide.

"Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and friend," Malik wrote.

Hadid noted in her post that she was finding it difficult to put into words just what her relationship with Malik had meant to her. She promised to continue to support him as a friend and peer going forward which, judging by his comments to GQ, she seems to have stuck to.

Malik confirmed, during a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, that his gooey latest single "Let Me" was indeed about his relationship with Hadid.

"I was in love, and I think that's pretty evident. I was aspiring to be in love with someone for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs, as we all do," he said, admitting that he wrote the song about seven or eight months before the interview.

As for whether he's bothered by paps snapping shots of him and Hadid, Malik admitted he doesn't get annoyed with them anymore. Instead, he lets the photographers do their thing and continues on with his life as best he can.
