Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi opens up about being adopted in a new tell-all video. The reality star reveals how blessed she feels for her life.

It Was Meant To Be

Jersey Shore alum Polizzi was adopted by parents Helen and Andrew Polizzi at just 6 months old in Santiago, Chile. In an emotional video, the 30-year-old discusses how blessed she feels to have been taken in by her adoptive parents.

"They flew all the way to Chile to come pick me up and they said that right when they saw me I was like, 'Mama. Dada.' So it was, like, meant to be," she said in a candid new vlog posted to YouTube.

Polizzi confirmed that she always knew she was adopted, throughout her life, and was at peace with that fact.

"I knew. I'm like, 'We don't look alike. I'm brown, you're white. ... I always knew in my heart that I was adopted and I was totally fine with it," she explained.

Although the reality star wondered about her birth parents, and possible siblings, her adoptive parents were reluctant to discuss the subject, lest she believes their daughter felt less close to them as a result.

Once she hit her 20s, however, Polizzi eventually learned that her real parents couldn't afford to keep her. The mother of two acknowledged it must have been tough to put her up for adoption, but advised she couldn't imagine being in that position herself.

Feeling Blessed And Grateful

Although Polizzi would be open to meeting her birth parents someday, she will always consider her adoptive parents her real mom and dad. The reality star admitted she feels weird even calling them her adoptive parents.

"I am blessed with the fact that I have my adoptive parents. They gave me an amazing life and they deal with my s--, which is crazy. I always wonder if I was never adopted and I stayed with my birth parents would I still be a hot mess like this, just in Spanish? Probably!" she joked.

Polizzi just wrapped up Jersey Shore: Family Reunion alongside fellow original cast members Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Pauly "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, and Deena Cortese.

The second season of the spin-off hit is currently filming in Las Vegas, but the first culminated with Sorrentino proposing to his longtime lady love, Lauren, with the help of his hilarious housemates.

Polizzi herself has been married to Jionni LaValle since 2014. The two have two children together, Giovanna, 3, and Lorenzo, 5.
