Emma Watson's The Bling Ring takes on the current popular perception of celebrity life and the general populations desire.

While Watson's character takes extreme measures in order to gain the pricy items she desires, the actress says there is no one party to blame for celebrities growing opulence and society's interest in them.

"I don't think anyone is to blame necessarily, because if the public is demanding a certain thing then that's kind of what the media and therefore what celebrities are going to supply as a result," Watson told the BBC. "I do think its certainly got to...the celebrity cultures defiantly sort of got to fever pitch sort of level, but I don't know if I would point the finger at any particular party."

The 23-year-old Brit has previously stated that she owns just eight pairs of shoes, making her markedly different from her on-screen persona. However, the long-time Harry Potter star takes at least basic measures - locking the door, setting an alarm - in order to protect her possessions since she believes that the types of robberies portrayed in The Bling Ring are things that could possibly happen today.

"When I was in Cannes promoting The Bling Ring... a lot of very, very expensive diamonds went missing and that was sort of ironically around the premiere time of The Bling Ring," Watson said, according to the BBC. "Heists...go back a long way and will always continue to happen."

You can catch Watson flexing her capering muscles in the Sofia Coppola directed film that is out now.
