Royal fans are concerned for Queen Elizabeth II after her successor, Prince Charles, has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time, and the two royals reportedly had close contact with each other; how is the monarch doing?

According to Daily Mail UK, the longest-reigning monarch, who will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee in June, is currently not displaying any symptoms related to the virus.

However, despite Buckingham Palace's assurance, they have yet to announce whether Her Majesty tested positive or not.

Queen Elizabeth II is currently "being monitored" for possible symptoms but is not required to self-isolate unless the result comes out positive.

The two royals reportedly had direct contact as the Prince of Wales visited her a few days back at her Windsor Castle home.

The outlet noted that Prince Charles usually greets the monarch with a kiss on the hand and cheek.

Camilla Parker-Bowles is said to have tested negative from COVID and sees the recent incident as "a bit tiresome."

Prince Charles Tested Positive For COVID-19 The 2nd Time

On Thursday, the Clarence House alarmed royal fans after announcing Prince Charles had contracted the virus again after almost the year.

Prince Charles is said to be "deeply disappointed" as he couldn't attend the events in Winchester. His visit will be rescheduled in the future after he recovered.

This is not the first time the future monarch had COVID. Visiting the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, the Prince spoke to the hospital and frontline workers about the pandemic response.

He also reportedly opened up about the symptoms he felt after testing positive for the virus, saying he lost his sense of taste and smell and still felt the effects a few weeks later.

At the time, The Duchess of Cornwall had tested negative as her husband self-isolated for over a week.

Later that month, a spokesperson confirmed to the outlet that the Prince survived the virus and was eventually freed from isolation.

Regarding Queen Elizabeth, this is also not the first time she had a COVID scare as a staff member previously tested positive for the virus when she visited her Scottish estate of Balmoral.
