Alec Baldwin spoke up about the "Rust" lawsuits filed against him and how some individuals launched the legal cases because of one thing.

On Saturday, Baldwin stood behind the podium at the Boulder International Film Festival in Colorado and started saying how he believes some individuals filed lawsuits against him for the sake of finances.

As quoted by The Hollywood Reporter and CNN, Baldwin claimed that certain "Rust" lawsuits are only targeted toward "deep-pocket litigants."

According to the 63-year-old actor, they already faced a situation where specific people are not interested in finding out what truly happened.

"What you have is a certain group of people, litigants and whatever, on whatever side, who their attitude is, 'Well, the people who likely seem negligent have no money and the people who have money are not negligent,'" he went on.

Despite that, he firmly said they are not going to let people stop them from doing things related to litigation. For Baldwin, people sue others to get money, but his new statement might soon backfire again as Halyna Hutchins' family wants nothing but justice for the late cinematographer.

Alec Baldwin Receives More Lawsuits

Baldwin's comments came after the actor released a similar message on Twitter.

Days after Halyna Hutchins' husband, Matt, broke his silence in a bombshell interview with "Today," Baldwin talked about a cryptic quote regarding the use of speech to benefit others.

"'In the same way, Rahula,' the Buddha continued, 'when anyone feels no shame in telling a deliberate lie, there is no evil, I tell you, they will not do. Thus, Rahula, you should train yourself, 'I will not tell a deliberate lie, even in jest,'" Baldwin said.

The actor posted a follow-up tweet, urging people to use speech not only to benefit themselves but to help others, too, through the spiritual quote.

For what it's worth, Hutchins' family formally filed a wrongful death lawsuit in February alongside a video re-enacting the tragic shooting that killed the cinematographer. The family attorney, Brian Panish, pressed Baldwin as he was the person holding the weapon that ended up killing Hutchins.

Meanwhile, Matt said there are other issues that led to his wife's death, including gun safety and the problems in the industry.
