No Time to Die is a mega-hit opus in the discography of Billie Eilish, and it was all born out of a shift in perspective.

The young star recorded the signature song for the most recent James Bond movie No Time to Die. The song bares the same title, and it has been a raging chart topper since. Hans Zimmerman was the musical composition for the hit film, and, after listening to the song composed by Elish and her brother, there was no contest for the big ending song. The song narrates a shift in perspective of a time that Finneas O'Connell felt he hurt someone else. He shared in an interview with Deadline:

"I wrote the song from the perspective of somebody I had hurt...It was a really interesting situation for me, because honestly, we never think about how our own actions are perceived from other people's point of view. Or, we do, but we don't do it enough. It taught me a lot, to put myself in somebody else's shoes, and it was fun, too, because you can create a character and write about something other than yourself. You don't have to expose yourself; you don't have to be telling your truth."

Flipping the perspective has breeded success and has allowed a star-studded level of empathy to shine musically through in the song. By flipping the narrative and writing it down musically, the brother-sister duo created yet another smash hit. We are so glad that this song has musically made its way into our ears.
