Wendy Williams may have been fired from her show "The Wendy Williams Show," but she has been invited to be a part of something larger.

Wendy has expressed a desire to join the ladies on "The View," in what would be one of the greatest reversals in the history of morning television.

Radar Online has heard that the media celebrity, who is facing health concerns that have caused her show to be canceled, has an "open invitation" to appear on the hit ABC show.

According to a source, there has been some speculation that Wendy may be joining "The View."

"There is an offer for her to come on the show whenever she wants," the insider claimed.

"The open invitation has made it abundantly apparent that if Wendy wishes to conduct her first TV interview since losing her show, there will always be a seat at the table for her."

This, however, does not imply that she will become a permanent host on "The View."

A second source added that producers are aware of how much the 57-year-old daytime host's unexpected absence with Sherri Shepherd's show this fall created a wide window of opportunity for Wendy's first TV interview.

Sherri will inherit Wendy's nationally syndicated talk show's schedule, according to producer and distributor Debmar-Mercury, with her show of the same name, which will be broadcast on Fox-owned-and-operated stations that have formed the backbone of Wendy's nationally syndicated talk show since 2008.

Since it was announced that "The Wendy Williams Show" would be canceled this fall, she has had offers from every show, including "The Today Show" and "Good Morning America."

However, joining "The View" is intriguing because this interview "may open the door to her joining the show on a regular basis," according to the insider.

They also mentioned that Wendy's chemistry with Whoopi Goldberg and the other ladies of the show would be tested.

This would not be the first time that "The View" would have a new co-host who had previously had their show, as when Rosie O'Donnell arrived, their numbers skyrocketed.

Wendy Williams has not confirmed whether she will join or guest on "The View," but she has stated that she would return to daytime television and has asked her fans to keep an eye out for her in the next three months.
