Another season of Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk" has kicked off, and fans wanted to see how their family will address Will Smith's shocking Oscars 2022 slap incident with Chris Rock; will audiences get an explanation from the famous family?

On the first episode of season 5 featuring celebrity guest Janelle Monae, the "Matrix Resurrections" actress revealed in a message that watchers won't see mention of the shocking incident at the Academy Awards.

However, she clarified that their family would share some of the "discoveries around our healing" that they will eventually share in the future.

"Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls," the statement reads. (via People Magazine)

Until then, Jada said the show would continue to feature powerful, inspiring, and healing testimonies in future episodes.

The statement comes almost a month after Chris Rock delivered a comedy monologue at this year's Oscars where he made a joke about the actress' hairstyle, referring to her as "G.I. Jane."

Jada Pinkett Smith has been open about her struggles with hair loss and alopecia, which led her to shave her head.

Her husband was not fond of the joke as he went up on stage to slap the comic in front of the audience.

The day after the incident, the "Aladdin" actor took to Instagram to apologize, saying his behavior was "unacceptable and inexcusable."

He also admitted that he was "out of line" and "embarrassed" for what he did; it was not indicative of the man he wanted to be.

Ever since, the actor has resigned from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Will is also not allowed to attend the coveted awards show for the next ten years.

President of the Academy, David Rubin, and CEO Dawn Hudson released a joint statement, saying the actor's ban from the show is a step toward a "larger goal of protecting the safety" of their performers and guests as well as restoring trust in the academy.

Chris Rock has not publicly commented on the matter, but his brother defended his comedy skit, saying he was unaware that Jada had alopecia when he made the joke.
