Queen Elizabeth II is now preparing ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, but she might miss some of the key events that are being arranged for her.

Queen Elizabeth II has been on and off of the public's eyes in the past months, making royal fans worry about her actual health status. While taking a break would allow her to participate in the four-day bank holiday, Express UK noted that the monarch is pacing herself due to multiple health issues, including decreased mobility.

The celebration of her seven decades of service will be dedicated to her, but she will miss several events, including the Epsom Derby. Her daughter, the Princess Royal, will attend on her behalf on Saturday.

Her declining health forced her to change the way she attends on her duties in the past months.

Amid the fears, Buckingham Palace assured the royal fans that she would appear on the balcony twice - after the Trooping the Color parade and after the Pageant parade finale.

Newsweek noted that Queen Elizabeth II helped herself by making Windsor Castle her working base.

She already welcomed several guests for in-person visits, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Queen Elizabeth II's Health Issues Explored

The Queen's health began to fall in October. At that time, she was forced to cancel her trip to Northern Ireland. Her medical team did not disclose the exact reason behind it.

Instead, Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming that the monarch accepted her medical team's advice.

"The queen has reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days. Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow," it said.

Initial reports claimed that Queen Elizabeth II postponed her Ireland trip due to security reasons and not because of health issues. However, her status in the months thereafter proved that something was wrong with her.

Queen Elizabeth II got admitted for preliminary investigations. But she did not feel any better as she also canceled her attendance at the COP26 Climate Change Summit in Glasgow.

After trying to resume in-person meetings again, she contracted COVID-19 in February, making her go into isolation in accordance with government guidelines.

For now, royal fans can only pray and hope for the monarch to feel better ahead of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
