Brad Pitt Wanted Engagement Ring for Angelina Jolie to Be 'Perfect'
Jewelry designer Robert Procop confirmed that he designed an engagement ring for actress Angelina Jolie in collaboration with Brad Pitt.
"I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt," a representative for the jeweler told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect," Procop told The Hollywood Reporter.
Jolie's ring has a diamond of the finest quality cut in to an exact custom size and shape to suite Jolie's hand, according to the report.
It's side diamonds are specially cut to encircle Jolie's finger, according to the report.
Jolie was spotted wearing the engagement ring on April 11 at a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries with Pitt and son Pax.
Procop is very familiar to Jolie. In the past he and the actress teamed to create the jewelry line "The Style of Jolie" inspired by her "classic" style.
Earlier this year, Pitt said that he and Jolie were "getting a lot of pressure from the kids" to get married.
"It means something to them," Pitt told CBS News. "We will [get married] someday, we will. It's a great idea. 'Get mommy a ring.' 'OK, I will, I will.' "
But later Jolie said rumors of a wedding were "blown out of proportion."
Jolie, 36 and Pitt, 48 began dating in 2005. They have six children together.
