The Muppets are coming back to the small screen in a new musical Disney+ series called The Muppets Mayhem, which is going to revolve around the wacky band Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem who were the house band throughout the various iterations of The Muppet shows.

Casting has begun and two new human additions have been announced to star on the show. Saara Chaudry who played Martina Crowe on the Disney+ series The Mysterious Benedict Society. Chaudry will be playing the role of Hannah, a young girl boss who rose to fame as an influencer through her make-up videos, which has put her at odds with her older sister Nora played by Lilly Singh (Dollface).

The second casting is the hilarious Anders Holm who starred on the popular comedy series Workaholics. Holm will be playing JJ and ex-nerd turned suave tech entrepreneur who used to date Nora and is trying to win her back.

Deadline reported back in early March that the show is written and created by Adam F. Goldberg (The Goldbergs), Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes, both of whom have been working as Muppets performers. The Muppets Mayhem's main throughline is about The Electric Mayhem trying to record their first studio album with Nora, who has her hands full trying to wrangle her new clients through the modern day music industry. This will be the first time that Dr. Teeth and the gang have been on the forefront of a Muppet project.

There is no release date at this time but Enstarz will keep you posted as details are revealed.
