Is Johnny Depp being offered $301 million to return to "Pirates of the Caribbean"?

According to a recent rumor posted on Poptopic, Disney Studios is promising the troubled actor hundreds of millions of dollars, and the piece has gone viral on various social media sites.

"Disney has supposedly offered Johnny Depp a contract worth $301 million to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in another Pirates picture and a Disney Plus series!"

The source also stated that Disney is "desperate" for Johnny, with an insider claiming that the $301 million agreement is already being prepared as a "formal apology" so that he may return to the iconic brand.

Return of Johnny Depp to 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Possible?

However, there is no evidence or verification that the legendary actor and the production business struck a deal for this much money.

Just a few weeks ago, jurors returned a judgement in his defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard. Both celebrities accused one another of domestic violence.

A Virginia-based jury found in favor of the "Edward Scissorhands" star in early June, giving him $13.5 million in damages, with Amber receiving $2 million.

In addition to losing his role in "Pirates," Warner Bros. dropped Johnny from the"Fantastic Beasts" franchise.

He was fired after being accused of being violent to the "Aquaman" actress during their marriage, which lasted from 2015 to 2016.

Warner Bros. has kept silent on the matter, however actor Dan Fogler resorted to social media to express his thoughts on Johnny's dismissal.

"What's best for Johnny may not be the same as what's best for the picture."

He went on to explain that he adored Johnny Depp and want for him to be the best he could be, and that he "selfishly wishes for him to be at his best if I ever get to work with him again."

What If $300 Million Was Put On The Table?

Johnny Depp was questioned in court about returning to "Pirates of the Caribbean" for future projects during the six-week-long blockbuster trial.

Amber's lawyer, Matthew Rottenborn, asked, "If Disney came to you with $300 million and a million alpacas, nothing on this planet would convince you to go back and work with Disney on a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' picture, correct?"

"That is correct, Mr. Rottenborn," Johnny said.
