Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children shouldn't be cooped up inside their home, according to a royal writer.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned from their high royal positions in order to live a private and financially independent life outside from the British royal family.

They have since established a home in California with their three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet.

When they initially arrived in the United States in March 2020, they resided at producer Tyler Perry's house; a few months later, they acquired their own home in Santa Barbara's star-studded Montecito enclave.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have likewise discreetly shielded their children from the spotlight in the United States. Still, royal commentator Daniela Elser believes the pair can't keep their children "cooped up forever."

Elser wrote for the NZHerald that the Sussexes have a "large garden, children's playhouse, tennis court, and a pool" that may give a safe location for their children to play and explore away from the public and journalists.

But she noted that she couldn't keep Archie and Lili inside their home forever.

"For centuries, America has sold itself to the world as the land of the free - but I'm not sure how free life can or will be for the Sussexes and their kids (especially as they grow older) when the family represents potential ready cash or instant social media fame for anyone who might spot them in the wild," Elser said.

The author's remarks follow the appearance on social media of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with their eldest kid on July 4.

A paradegoer claimed to have seen the trio enjoying Fourth of July festivities in Wyoming.

While neither the Duke nor the Duchess' faces can be seen in the shots, it is evident that Archie is in them.

In one photo, the former "Suits" star is kneeling next to her kid, who is dressed in blue and a red, white, and blue tie. Archie was also spotted chewing a lollipop while clutching a miniature US flag.

Meanwhile, the former royal prince, dressed in a dark gray shirt and an olive green hat, stood behind his son and wife.

Lilibet, on the other hand, was not seen in any of the photographs.

The parade-goer documented his encounter with royalty on Instagram, calling Meghan "beautiful" and Prince Harry and Archie "so sweet."
