Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are seeking to grow their family. This, despite their ages.

According to Us Weekly, a source close to the couple claimed that they are considering having another kid. Cameron, 49, and Benji, 43, are reportedly considering their possibilities for a second child, following the birth of their 2-year-old daughter Raddix in December 2019.

The source disclosed that the couple had "talked" having another child and "have even been exploring surrogacy alternatives for some time."

The source informed Us Weekly that the Good Charlotte frontman has long desired to have a large family. Diaz was not as keen in the past but having her daughter changed everything. Allegedly, they are now vying for a baby boy. Still, any gender will do as long as the baby is going to be healthy.

They were not immediately sold to the idea of having babies through surrogacy.

"Prior to the surrogacy with their daughter, they had a great deal of doubts. It proved to be the best decision they ever made."

Five years after announcing her retirement from performing in 2014, Cameron had Raddix. As her hiatus came to a close, she's not closing the doors to becoming busy with baby duties again if fortunate to have another kid.

Despite the fact that she has announced her return from retirement to co-star alongside Jamie Foxx in Back in Action, the actress clearly enjoys being a mother!

She has been spotted out and about with her daughter on numerous occasions, and the mother-daughter combo enjoys their bonding time.

In a 2021 interview with Kevin Hart, Cameron expressed how much she enjoys being a mother. She stated, "Everything starts and goes and stops and goes because it's all about her needs," she said. "[To] have a family and be married and have our little nucleus of a family. It's just completely the best thing. I don't have what it takes to give making a movie what it needs to be made. All of my energy is here."

Retiring from Hollywood for a bit did not mean she was doing nothing though.

While still working as an actor, the celebrity who had previously published a best-selling health book also invested in health and biotech firms.

"The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time" was her second book, published in 2016.

Diaz was a keynote speaker at a food festival and afterwards created her own line of organic wine. Elizabeth Banks wrote and directed her brief appearance in a revival of Charlie's Angels while she was still in retirement.

At the 2019 revival, a screen in the Townsend Agency's Los Angeles headquarters displayed still pictures of Diaz and other stars from past incarnations of Charlie's Angels. She participated as a guest judge on the premiere episode of season seven of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars earlier this year.
