Ever since the second season of HBO's "Euphoria" wrapped up, many fans have been waiting for the next chapter of the characters' lives. Recently, Zendaya revealed the things she wanted to see in the next season, especially for her character Rue Bennett.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old star said she wanted the show to explore a different setup, like the characters out of high school.

The "Spiderman" actress also noted that she looks forward to seeing Rue Bennett's progress in her sobriety journey and how "chaotic that might look."

Aside from her teenage girl role, the Emmy Award-winning actress also wanted to see the different sides of all the characters on how they will grapple with their personal lives and figure out their authentic selves once high school is over. (via Daily Mail UK)

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Dune" actress said the show's previous season was special because the storyline tackled the characters' stories in "a much deeper sense."

It is also what she wanted for the next season, saying, "I think we can do that again with the third season. There's so much talent, you want to make sure everybody has the chance to have that."

Zendaya on Being 'Euphoria's Executive Producer

Aside from being one of the main cast members, Zendaya also serves as the show's executive producer. She looked back on her work, saying the drama series allowed her to take on another role outside her work as an actress.

She believes that being a producer made her "come out of the shell" as an actress and explore her work behind the camera and she was not afraid to speak her mind out when it comes to the ideas that she wanted to contribute to the show's storyline.

Even though she appeared confident most of the time, the actress said she's also very shy but self-critical.

Being an executive producer taught her that she should say anything critical to the show even to the smallest details like editing.

"You don't usually get that kind of hands-on experience, and everybody is different with how they choose to produce. It's a labor of love for all of us," she added.

As of this writing, "Euphoria" has not announced when the third season will be released.

Zendaya is currently up for nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series for this year's Emmy Awards.

The star made history in 2020 after being the youngest actress to win at the coveted awards show at the age of 24.
