"Euphoria" star Sydney Sweeney was reportedly defended by the judge after LA Collective resorts to "misogynistic mud-slinging" to degrade the actress.

The 24 year old actress was sued by the swim and lifestyle brand LA Collective for allegedly breaking her contract to model and promote the company's swimsuits, where she was planned to be the influencer for the launch of their new line, "Somewhere Swimwear."

According to Seventeen, LA Collective allegedly kept writing in court documents about the "videos and pictures of Sweeney naked and engaging in activity that appeals to the prurient interest,". In response to the statements, Andrew Brettler, Sweeney's lawyer, said that the attempts to reduce the actress were "disgusting and offensive to women."

According to Radar, the judge did not hold back his thoughts, saying that the swimsuit brand's remarks about Sweeney show a "gross bias that is unbecoming of counsel or the legal profession."

The judge warned LA Collective's lawyer that the "sort of misogynistic mud-slinging that has been going on will stop and it will stop now."

"The Court is not swayed by those arguments except that it gives the Court the impression that the party making the argument is doing so because it knows that its legal and factual position is bankrupt and that counsel are unethically attempting to sway the Court by an appeal to passion and prejudice," the court order read.

Why Did Sweeney Ghost the Swimsuit Company?

The "Everything sucks" actress and LA Collective's collaboration had been planned to generate over 3 million dollars in revenue, before Sweeney suddenly backed out of the contract.

Her lawyer had fired back, claiming that the actress backed out "for good reason" on the deal that was yet to be finalized. They stated that Sweeney started to look into the company during negotiations for the deal, when the actress claimed to have found out that the swimsuit brand had an F-rating with the Better Business Bureau and a "reputation for scamming its customers, business associates, and creditors alike."

The Verdict on LA Collective

According to court documents obtained by Radar, the court has dismissed several of the claims against Sweeney, but has allowed LA Collective to amend their lawsuit. The court states that the evidence presented did not show the actress did anything wrong.

"To the extent that LA Collective is alleging a promise to agree, it is allegedly made in various emails attached to the complaint. The Court has read those emails and there is no such promise-let alone a clear and unambiguous one," the court order read.

LA Collective has been issued 30 days to amend their complaint and fix any issues.
