Ryan Gosling is apparently in talks to team up once again with Margot Robbie in a reboot of Warner Bros' biggest heist franchise, "Ocean's Eleven".

In an interview with Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav, Puck was the first to report Gosling's interest of joining the "Ocean's" films, which will be one of Warners' biggest franchises outside of DC and "Harry Potter". Details of the reboot were first announced this year in May.

After co-starring as Ken and Barbie in Greta Gerwig's upcoming 2023 "Barbie" movie, Gosling will follow Robbie in the franchise reboot of "Ocean's Eleven". The film is directed by four-time Emmy winner Jay Roach, and the script will be written by Carrie Solomon. Margot Robbie will be producing with Tom Ackerley and Michelle Graham.

No details on the script by Solomon have been revealed, but the prequel story is expected to take place in 1960s Europe, far away from Las Vegas, where the George Clooney-fronted trilogy of the early 2000s were based.

Executive producing the reboot will be Gary Ross, Olivia Milch and Josey McNamara. Village Roadshow is also reportedly involved in an exec producer capacity and may co-finance.

The 'Barbie' Duo and their Professional Chemistry

Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie have also teamed up with Warner Bros on the live-action "Barbie" film, which is slated to premiere on July 21, 2023. The two veteran actors have grown close during their time filming, a source told Hollywood Life.

"It's one of the most fun films she's ever worked on and she couldn't imagine a better co-star than Ryan. He keeps her laughing all day and they have amazing chemistry," The source said.

Development of the 'Ocean's' Franchise

The A-list comedy-heist that is the "Ocean's" franchise was launched in 2001, directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon and others. What began as a remake of the original 1960 heist film turned into an unexpected franchise.

After Soderbergh's "Ocean's Eleven" made over $450 million worldwide theatrically, they released two more installments: "Ocean's Twelve" in 2004 and "Ocean's Thirteen" in 2007, respectively. The franchise returned in 2018 with "Ocean's Eight", a female-centric spinoff led by Sandra Bullock, Helena Bonham Carter and Rihanna.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming reboot is in active development but has not yet been greenlit. However, the team is hoping to start production in 2023.
